Programming and Graphics / Re: TWC's Retro 8s Live

They brought it back!?! Awesome. I always wondered if they would.

I figured they stopped b/c it cost too much & as I've said before, they're low in funds.

It returning for a Wednesdays-Fridays look would be nice. "Wayback Wed., Throwback Th., Flashback Fridays"

Its an iconic TWC look. Thanks to those of you who still update this site every now & then.

I don't think it Returned........

I "never" thought we'd see it again, at all. So I was surprised. It recieved positive feedback in '23. There's always a chance it returns again 1 day then. xD

It was only shown before a few commercial breaks on February 27th. I don't think it has been seen since.

I love this simulator and how you can set custom backgrounds!

I set it to a picture of a winking Stuffed States USA Virginia GIF.

Wonder if there'll be an option to customize the greeting as well?

Thanks for the awesome product!

Bumping this topic because I thought I'd share what I've bought musically within the last year or two, and a little hint: all have to do with instrumentals and vocal tracks that aired during LOT8s years and years ago.

- The Timeout Drawer - Record Of Small Histories
- Phish - The Story Of The Ghost

Individual tracks from online music services

- Trance Fury - Yet Unknown (Weeping Guitar Mix)
- Trance Fury - Fly Away (Bird's Eye View Mix)
- Trance Fury - February (Mid-Winter Night Mix)
- Explosions In The Sky - Your Hand In Mine
- Physical Therapy - Wishbone
- DC Talk - In The Light (Instrumental)
- Claudio Fiore - Event Horizon

Hi Hi! I joined this forum today because i just discovered it existed, I love messing around with WS Emulators and I used to be briefly hyperfixated on TWC in 2011! Someday I do hope to own an actual old TWC WS Computer!

Everything Else Classic TWC / Re: Authentic classic TWC rendering fail

« Last post by Rubidium on May 29, 2025, 11:42:56 AM »

Was looking at the randomly picked video on the front page, which was a Honolulu Hawaii forecast. (It's randomly picked every time you refresh the page, I was bored)

The light rain cloud looked miscolored and only one of the rain parts were correctly colored. There are 3 videos of this kind - all taken on the same day, February 27.

How does this even happen? I'm curious now.

The Game Room / Re: Which would you prefer?

« Last post by Dylan on April 17, 2025, 10:08:19 AM »

I guess Midnight City

Heather Tesch or Kelly Cass?

Both.
Local on the 8s the way it is now (only airing twice an hour for a minute) or the way it was 20 years ago (every :x8 for 2 minutes except for during Storm Stories)?
