Most gas stations here in NJ are $2.71, and is dropping. :)
I know this is probably 16+ years late from the original post BUTTT For reference gas prices in my area are averaging 2.60&$ now

Everything Else TWC / Re: TWC Being Bought By Comedian and Mogul Byron Allen

Some of you may have heard of comedian and mogul Byron Allen and his Entertainment Studios company, some of you haven't. Today, Allen has announced his intent to purchase The Weather Channel.

At least the channel itself will soon be off the hands of the NBCUniversal/Blackstone/Bain consortium. Will we see some improvements like the return of live 24/7 weather?

doubt it’ll return to the 24/7 live weather

I bet you can love the Tri-State Weather original intro from 1986.

That's the same video that the original poster posted.

Recognize this classic Local Forecast from El Paso, Texas at 7:12PM central time from November 21, 1987?

TWC Fan Art / Re: pjfrix's (TWC) Fan Art

With TWC Today coming back online, I can finally update the thread with these I created recently:

Recently, I decided to take an old concept of mine and redo it in present day. Here was the result:

(Current Conditions slide; still somewhat unfinished)
I also attempted to convert all of the other products to fit the rebrand, trying to make it as software accurate as possible:

(Weather Bulletin slide)

(Daypart Forecast/Daily Planner slide)

(Almanac slide)

(36 Hour/Local Forecast slide; excerpt taken from Daft Punk's Giorgio By Moroder)

(The Week Ahead/7 Day Forecast slide)
To date, I still have yet to come up with something for the 3-Day Forecast, Marine Forecast slides, and the Maps. Maybe even bring over that Traffic Flow concept at some point, despite that seemingly not being on the IntelliSTAR 2.
