Recently, I decided to take an old concept of mine and redo it in present day. Here was the result:
(Current Conditions slide; still somewhat unfinished)
I also attempted to convert all of the other products to fit the rebrand, trying to make it as software accurate as possible:
(Weather Bulletin slide)
(Daypart Forecast/Daily Planner slide)
(Almanac slide)
(36 Hour/Local Forecast slide; excerpt taken from Daft Punk's Giorgio By Moroder)
(The Week Ahead/7 Day Forecast slide)
To date, I still have yet to come up with something for the 3-Day Forecast, Marine Forecast slides, and the Maps. Maybe even bring over that Traffic Flow concept at some point, despite that seemingly not being on the IntelliSTAR 2.

Per YouTube's content ID system, that one's called "End Of The Rainbow", and it appears to come from the Transition Music library, which The Weather Channel has been using the music from on the LFs for the last couple of years or so.

Willing to trade for any Stephen Arnold packages (particularly looking for Canvas, Signature, Overture, Extreme, Metropolis and U-Phonix). Probably pointless since this thread hasn't been active for ten years but who knows.

« Last post by pjfrix on July 11, 2025, 04:30:35 AM »I "never" thought we'd see it again, at all. So I was surprised. It recieved positive feedback in '23.
A lot of people I know were surprised it came back at all. You'd think after that couple month long run in 2023 (as Bangles implied in an earlier post, it was reported to last even shorter than it did) they would just never attempt it ever again.
There's always a chance it returns again 1 day then. xD
Maybe next Retro Day. Methinks these instances are to be annual. That is, unless either TWC or AMG (who owns & operates the channel) decides otherwise. (they've had a history of that from what I've heard)
At least there's the many simulators or the stream TWC tried taking down while the near-daily version was still on-air. (and that one run even runs on the real hardware! Even better if you ask me.)
(edit: If the stream linked goes down by the time any dweller reads this, I'm probably not going to edit this post with the new one. Just go to cc17926's YouTube channel and it should be right there.)

I figured they stopped b/c it cost too much & as I've said before, they're low in funds.
It returning for a Wednesdays-Fridays look would be nice. "Wayback Wed., Throwback Th., Flashback Fridays"
Its an iconic TWC look. Thanks to those of you who still update this site every now & then.
I don't think it Returned........
I "never" thought we'd see it again, at all. So I was surprised. It recieved positive feedback in '23. There's always a chance it returns again 1 day then. xD
