There's another format used just now where they went programming to commercials, a live preview of the next segment on WLC then to the LOT8's,  a 30 second commercial then back to programming.

Hey, it's not that bad. It means only one minutes of vocals now instead of two :D

I just put a blank DVD inside my recorder and then set a timer recording for the disc at 1:28AM my time tomorrow morning. Let's just all hope TWC will leave the sole 2-minute LF alone  :P

EDIT: Just checked my recording, and it looks like TWC left the sole 2-minute flavor alone

The :28 LF was a K flavor, so it looks like this is just a midweek thing.

There was an error with the CC product at :28 (as well as the previous two LFs) where there was only the temp and the N/A icon (Allen Jackson just reads the temperature only.) I was unable to get a clip because I woke up just minutes before the :28 LF and had no time to set up my tuner  :(

Does anyone miss the 33% LDL and should it return? or do a agree with TWC for removing it?

I feel that takes up too much of the screen during a live segment.  I prefer a smaller LDL.

I really liked the radar on the Large LDL, it would be awesome if the Smaller LDL had the radar on the left side instead of ad space.

Correction: the show title <_< :P j/k because they do sometimes have actual sponsors in the corner spot

I think I'm in the minority, but I miss the large LDL.  It contained so much more weather information, and, considering how weather information is at such a premium on TWC right now, it could be very useful.

The big LDL would be fine during taped programming, but during live programming I think the small LDL is fine.

I agree. Perhaps shrinking down the screen during the "Local on the 8s" during longform where they normally show the small LDL and show the big LDL instead would work. The current on-air graphics would not work with the big LDL anyway, plus they don't use a video wall anymore for the majority of the map segments, so I wouldn't want to see it return during live programming.
