If you watch "Local on the 8s" on the IntelliStar, you notice "weather.com" didn't display underneath the logo (even when the ad-crawl overlap) on the blue LDL.
I'm a weatherman. I love my weather. I would love to go any trips if the weather is nicer.

Here are snapshots I took of the IntelliSTAR and the LDL without the "weather.com" text.

What the heck, why are they removing the weather.com branding all of a sudden?

For those who have one, did they remove the weather.con text on the IS2 as well?

Somehow, to me, it just looks more professional without it.  Also, on the HD feed, it was always getting cut-off (on my TV, anyway).

A bit of speculation here: TWC removed the "weather.com" text from the LDLs because of burn-in concerns on certain displays. The "weather.com" text was one of the few static parts of the LDL (aside from the TWC logo which they'll never remove). Now that weather.com is removed from the LDL, TWC can feel a bit safer about leaving the LDL up for the entire duration of long-from programming without damaging viewer's TVs.

I really like the new look, plus the shine under the logo and the weather.com text on the IntelliStar locals didn't really look good anyway.

The "|HD|" part of the HD LF's logo is no more.

Why are they using the morning playlist from
4 am? the overnight playlist currently only plays from 1 to 2 am

Maybe NBC might rename or rebrand The Weather Channel and it's website.

 NBC has nothing to do with decisions like that.. those are all done by TWC themselves

I've noticed it as well. Could be a technical glitch on their part.

TWCCompanies was renamed as ''The Weather Company" saying that their products (on air, online, mobile) are all separated now. That would be my only reasoning.
