Going off the topic of music... :hammer:

I have noticed recently where TWC's LOT8s bumpers say no more than "And now your LOT8s" and last for about a couple of seconds.  They aren't advertising anything beforehand.  It's possible, though, that some of these are also mixed in with ones that do advertise longform, etc.  I don't know when this started, or if it has been discussed before, but I feel like it's been awhile since we've seen a LOT8s intro without any form of advertisement before it.

They've been doing that for a month or two. It's either a LOT8s intro advertising something, or an advertisement preceding the short intro.

They're also only done like that at the :28/:58 LFs during live programming.. not sure if its the same for longform though
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

The footage before that shorter segment comes from one of the Ice Pilots promos. Hey, I don't mind the lack of advertisement. It seemed desperate to me, to be quite honest. I like the one they use now.

What I miss are those HD intros. Those were beautiful. I would die for a collage of ALL of them. I still can't find the sunset one.

That heatwave one they used in the summer 2008? I have that one, I'll look for it

I miss the BWTL era, all their creativity and uniqueness went right out the door after TWC went HD. Anyone know anybody that's close to building a time machine? :P

If you had to pick a TWC meteorologist to do the IntelliStar Narration instead of Allen Jackson who would you pick?

I would probably have used Marshall Seese, were he still there.

TWC IntelliSTAR- Spokane, WA- June 3, 2005- 5:29PM PDT

I had a request to upload a clip of this 60-second STAR flavor from 2005. Can anyone ID this song?  :dunno:

At :08 a 60-second flavor aired  :o

First the music, now the reduction of LF flavors? I sense major controversy coming...  :hmm:

Yeah, I noticed that too.  At 10:28 CT, a 1:30 flavor (I believe...on the HD Satellite LF it did not show the city-by-city forecast) aired.  I don't know if this is permanent or some test, because I always remember 2 minute flavors showing at :28.

Also, vocal music played then too, although I can't ID the song. :hmm:
