It seems Virginia is a common place to find 4000s. The one Patrick is talking about is exclusive to Virginia Tech and reports from Blacksburg.
That's correct.  I didn't realize until staring at it during a break today that this 4000 still has the original TWC gradient logo on the upper-left corner during the LF.  The STAR ID is 3950 if anyone is interested.

Wow, the original logo? I thought all 4000s were updated to the newer logo by 2000.

Well, I'll have to look more closely to see if it's indeed what I believe.

Well, didn't the Ocracoke, NC 4000 also have the original TWC logo?

Are you sure that's the old logo and it doesn't just appear to look that way? The picture quality isn't that great to begin with...

I'm positive that it's the 1996-2005 TWC logo in that picture.

Plus, I highly doubt TWC were to have the capabilities to upgrade a 4000 easily by that time.

I have a cousin in Blacksburg at Tech that I visited a few years back. I recall the 4000 but I swore I saw a video on YT of it at one time. I cant seem to find it now. Hummm

There was also one in Fredricksburg back in 2005. I was shocked to find out via Youtube that Wakefield had one!

I heard South of Market by Joyce Cooling on the SD satellite lf at 3:58pm. During that same time, Winding Down by Josh Harris played on the HD feed

This morning, I've noticed that the animation of the radar on my IntelliStar has been very jumpy. I don't know if it's a problem with the actual radar data or the IntelliStar itself.
