Maybe they're going in order by STAR ID or something. Mine is 22884, so its definitely one of the early STARs. If this is the case, I would expect your STAR Al, to receive this update within the coming days..

On a totally different subject, is anyone familiar with a 'mountain snow valley rain' icon from the XL's icon set?

I just realized something odd on my intellistar's LDL. As of this morning, it's showing the current conditions for Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, and Soquel (which has never shown up on the LF before). I wasn't aware that the LDL could show conditions for 3 cities like that..
For me, it's shows Laredo, Hebbronville, and Freer on the current conditions/today tabs.

Technically, they could. It would be a half-assed job, but they could, They never would do it that way though.
So, how were all the IntelliStars able to display three-city LDL's in one day? Were they all added ahead of time, and then all the IntelliStars rebooted this morning?
my STAR rebooted last night, I saw it happen live during Weather Center, lol.

My IS still only displays one city's current conditions on the LDL, and it's ID is 22608, a low-numbered IS.

Hm, I started noticing something odd with my IS...whenever an advisory (including watches/warnings) is issued, the star displays it on the LDL/IS fine, but whenever the advisory is lifted/expired I get the Satellite LF shortly after.

we haven't had many advisory's issued this summer, but when we did have advisories this happened.

i started thinking about it after an advisory was issued for rain the in area, left for a while, came back and the Satellite LF was being displayed.

maybe it's just me :dunno:

I've had three cities on the LDL since June 2, 08, and has only had one alteration (that same day, too...I think.)

I haven't seen it, but someone told me that it exists. I would imagine it was used back when the NWS forecasts were used, because I've never seen TWC issue a forecast like that..

I'm looking at the E.L. Intellistar tonight, and I am noticing something odd. Haslett and Downtown Lansing were added to the now tab on the LDL. However, in the forecast tabs, it rotates from East Lansing to Lansing then shows East Lansing a second time before the next tab moves over.
TWC in...
Lansing: Comcast, Channel 36, STAR ID 22840
E. Lansing: Comcast, Channel 40, STAR ID 22842
Lansing Area: Broadstripe, Channel 40, STAR ID 25349
Current STAR count: 32. Be sure to see my channel for links to all the uploads!

No, they might just being adding a while bunch now. It has to be done on a STAR-by-STAR basis, unless they deploy the cities by DMA, but that wouldn't make sense, and they're obviously not doing that anyway.

After checking on some things, here's what I now know. When the LDL update came in '08, the additional cities were added to only the IntelliStars with the largest viewing areas, as well as all the STARs in the Atlanta and Pittsburgh DMAs. Over time, some more were added (in no order). Now, they are starting to go through and add cities to more and more IntelliStars. Hope that clears things up for some of you.
