What confuses me as to why the radar and metro maps aren't centered on Scotts Valley then..

Your Intellistar unit could be much like mine isn't. My maps and guess sites are centered right over the location of the STAR, where guesses are gathered. This being said, maps and data are only focused on the eastern portion of Lansing itself, as opposed to the center of the area served which should be 15 or so miles to the WSW. Anyway, my guess is that in your case, data gathered and guessed is for the area served, not necessarily the location of the STAR itself.

So, my IntelliStar must be in Fort Dix then, not Cherry Hill.  I guess Cherry Hill is what carries the Camden County IntelliStar then (21873), or maybe just a customer service facility.

I've been to that Comcast headend many times....Its BIG
Yeah, I just passed by that and noticed they have a drive thru to make your payments. I've never seen others like that before. Bensalem's building isn't like that. The road is on is actually Haddonfield Berlin road, not Berlin road. Then again, Google messed up on a lot of the roads here.

My headend has the same thing, but it is not open 24 hours though. My headend is considerably smaller than the Cherry Hill one.

Mike, as I look at the satellite image, I think I found the location of your Intellistar unit:

1250 Berlin Rd, Cherry Hill, NJ
(856) 354-1660

Hope this helps
Yeah that's what I saw too. I'll make a call first, and if that doesn't help I'll take a drive there.
That's just one of my payment offices. My headend is in Audubon, NJ.

Yeah, that's mine too. As I said earlier, my headend is in Fort Dix (near where McGuire is) after Billy pointed out that the headend name is what appears on your IntelliStar when there's no data. I wouldn't travel all the way up there just to ask for them to fix the cable feed. Well, at least it's fixed now.

Billy is right. Usually, the locality that appears while current products are unavailable is where the headend is. However, TWC doesn't have the location of some headends, because the cable co only gives TWC the "name" of the headend. For example, the South Hills headend here doesn't use a location - it uses a name, so when there is an outage, the top of the CC screen reads "S HILLS GROUP/Bthl/Cstl Shn/MLeb/Drmt," which translates to the group of South Hills communities of Bethel Park, Castle Shannon, Mount Lebanon, and Dormont. This happened when Comcast took over Adelphia and consolidated the 4 headends in the South Hills to just one.

As another example, my Verizon headend displays "Pittsburgh VHO11," because that is the headend name (VHO stands for Video Hub Office, and Pittsburgh is Verizon's 11th headend).

Yeah, it's like that on the Bensalem/Levittown IntelliStar too; it doesn't show the city the headend is located, so instead, during an outage, the CC page shows the same title as the forecast title (Lower Bucks).

I have a quick question about the April 2007 playlist...I do know Trans Warp Conduit by Anthony James Baker was used that month, but was the song "Salamander" used too? It sounds very familiar...

Take a listen here: http://www.lala.com/#album/2810527642498944138

I have a question too. I have something rare for even me going on tomorrow, according to my NWS Office over there in Grand Rapids:
Quote
Record cool maximum temperatures expected

Unseasonably cold weather is in store for Southwest Lower Michigan Friday and Saturday. Maximum temperatures are expected to remain below 70 degrees across the area Friday and Saturday. As a result Grand Rapids is expected to break the daily record lowest maximum temperatures for both Friday and Saturday.

At Lansing the record lowest maximum temperatures are 70 on Friday and 67 on Saturday. Both of these records are expected to be broken.

Muskegon’s record lowest maximum temperatures are in the lower 60s both days, which would be harder to break - but is not out of the question.

Warmer weather should return early next week with highs in the mid to upper 70s by Monday.

 RECORD LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES
GRAND RAPIDS FRIDAY: 71 DEGREES - 1937
                SATURDAY: 68 DEGREES - 1914
MUSKEGON FRIDAY: 60 DEGREES - 1934
           SATURDAY: 63 DEGREES - 1924
LANSING FRIDAY: 70 DEGREES - 1937
        SATURDAY: 67 DEGREES - 1912
TWC has 68 and 69 in, respectively for tomorrow and Saturday. Now, do record low maximums trigger the record low screen?

Aaron, I don't think you'll see one as the only records that average people care about are the usual record highs and lows.  I don't think screens for other records exist, but if you do see it, then please show a clip of it.

No screen exists. There's just a record low and high screen.

Darn, I was hoping to see it. I see the miserable weather is going to keep temps up at night, 10 degrees above the record lows. I haven't had a record low set at KLAN since 2002, so I have never seen the record low screen in person.
