Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 6:00 PM CDT this evening.

A small thunderstorm cell is bringing us heavy rain in the area right now, but there  is a larger batch of rain that will bring even more rain later this afternoon.

The rain has since let up, but it is still quite cloudy in the area. Tomorrow we will have a break in the rain with mostly sunny skies, but Wednesday will bring another chance for rain and thunderstorms.

That song always reminds me of Hurricane Katrina and how depressing those days were. :(

I know Gustav is not expected to make a direct hit on Pensacola, but stay safe, Stephen.

Any updates you provide is a big bonus for us. I'll be paying close attention to where the hurricane is headed.
