Weather Center has new graphics. They upgraded their old Titan HD Radar.

The graphics are much better now. I wonder if they upgraded from other shows.

TWC previously had Tru Vu Titan HD from WSI. A few weeks ago they discontinued Titan, and Released Tru Vu Max(for graphics) and Tru Vu Storm(for radar). My local tv network has had it for a few weeks now, its beautiful system. It has a lot better looking graphics than Titan. It has no rendering, so the program speeds up the process of making graphics.

What are you talking about? Titan is not discontinued... in fact if you saw the monitor behind Cantore, that was Titan...

WSI is trying to get back to windows operating systems. They can still use Titan(If they already have it, which twc does), just WSI may not be selling the product anymore, it has been removed from their website. Tru Vu Storm is what replaced the Titan HD Radar. Tru Vu Max replaced the Show Player, graphics producer, and show fx from the Titan graphics system.

They use both. You can tell the differences in the software, Viz has more glassy, and light flashy effects on it. They really have only been using Viz for: Weekly Planner, Road Weather, Interstate Forecast, and sometimes the 60 Second forecast.

I wonder if they'll have a different graphics style for each show? That would be cool.

TWC has indeed replaced Titan with TruVu. Here's a few screen caps via my cell:

Not a big fan of the title bars. Maybe I need to see them in HD first.

There's a good chance they're still mixing it in. I know our local NBC affiliate, WPXI, changed their radar to Weather Central's ESP:Live last fall, but they still occasionally use their old radar for some reason.

Neither am I.

But the new Tru Vu Radar does look nice. I'm guessing it will be debuting on all other shows tomorrow.
