Maybe someone can shed some light on this: A friend of mine told me that if you wait until you're 18 to get a driver's license, then you don't have to take Driver's Ed. Is this true? :thinking:

I am 18, and I never took driver's ed. I guess after 18, either someone shows you how to drive, or you have to go to a driving school where you have to pay about $200 a course. My parents refuse to show me how to drive. <_< <_<

I have the same problem  <_<
Hopefully though, I will begin taking Driver's Ed this year and have my license sometime early next year. I will most likely have taken Driver's Ed and have my license by the time I turn 18 :)

Some states also require drivers ed to get a permit too. It is in NJ, but not in PA so I ended up getting my PA permit before I completed my drivers ed course (by just a few weeks). I hope to get my junior/provisional license before the summer.

Speaking of which, I finally passed my CDL endorsement test! To those who don't know, it is a commercial driver's licence, so, I will be able to pay my way through college! Heeeey! :)
