I dunno if Directv is inserting local stuff into the :17/:47 inserts on TWC cuz i saw this after reviewing my PME recording from this evening

Yeah, they showed a promo for the NBC station down here. I wonder if this signs of something to come?

Usually DirecTV would send out any headend-inserted ads out nationwide but i could have elaborated a little. Usually the ads seen at the :17/:47 inserts on DirecTV are ones for products you can order via toll free phone calls. Ill look at the :17 part of my recording to see if it was a local ad for my area to insert as well

Modems shouldnt go down unless theres an absense of lights to them or if one of the lights is blinking that shouldnt be
What you said is close to what my modem does. When it messes up, the modem logo on my router flashes. Then I have to unplug it. But it reboots all by itself sometimes. I need to get a new modem soon. :whistling2: All the lights stop blinking, they're just static. First, the light that is for power is the only one that is on. Then, all four lights are static. Then they go back to blinking per normal. The modem is close to dieing. WOW! might have some new modems that I want.
Brand? When all the lights come on at once thats a standard startup test procedure. Have you ISP reset the modem

Well, had a good time at the fair last night, went to my favorite booth a couple times. My favorite booth? National Weather Service in Louisville. :P That guy that was on WWCH from the Super Outbreak episode was there, Joe Sullivan, was manning the booth. He told me about spotter training, they were giving away several weather radios, and CoCoRaHS rain gauges to winners of drawings (of course I entered my name). I believe that he admitted that Wunderground's radars are better than the NWS's! Nice night, I was so beat last night that after an episode of FMA:Brotherhood and an episode of Kekkaishi, I was gone.

Aesthetically, yes. In terms of the actual radar, they're the same.

Wunderground has an amazing archive though. You can literally go back years and pick any day or time and see the radar imagery for your area. Very cool

You can do that with the NCDC, too...and use GRLevel3 to view it. ;) Just takes several minutes for the request to complete and for you to download it.

Has anyone noticed how there has been a recent surge of members signing up who are actively posting or, is it just me ? During my 3 years here, I don't think I've ever seen a pattern quite like this before. I wonder if there was some recent promotion done here or something.

There may have been some promoting lately, but it's fine with me.  However, I do want to ask all new members to please pay attention to where you're posting topics and the subjects you're using for them.  We don't need any more topics about speculations involving OCMs or the downfall of TWC as there have already been a ton of those lately, and I'm frankly getting tired of them.  Use a little originality and creativity as it goes a long way!

Yeah, I've been rather suspicious of what's going on around here too. I can't recall having so many active members joining within a short time like this since the forums first opened.

Uh if you have any problems then report it to me. Spam members are being removed when necessary. Report any unusual activity as always. There is not really a large number of signups, its just three of the newer members are actively posting. Most new members don't post or are very inactive.
