Corrected number of degrees away from record

... Indianapolis International Airport hits 100 degrees...

The official temperature for Indianapolis... taken at the
Indianapolis International Airport... reached 100 degrees at 307 PM
this afternoon. The last time the temperature reached 100 degrees
or higher was August 16 1988 when it reached 102. As hot as this
is... our reading of 100 degrees is 6 degrees below the record set
in 1934.

   Public Information Statement    

Statement as of 10:50 am CDT on August 1, 2011

... High average temperatures for July affected many communities...

Temperatures during the month of July were well above normal for
many communities across the quad state area. The other issue was
the high humidity levels... which combined with the afternoon
temperatures... developed heat index readings 100 degrees or
greater nearly every day for the last two weeks of July.

In the Paducah area... the average temperature for July was 81.9
degrees... or 3.7 degrees above normal. This makes July of 2011 the
5th warmest July on record. The record is 84.2 degrees set in
1993. In Paducah... the average temperature for the Summer season
is running 80 degrees or 3.4 degrees above normal through July.

In the Evansville area... the average temperature for July was 82.5
degrees... or 3.9 degrees above normal. This makes July of 2011 the
5th warmest July on record. The record is 85.1 degrees set in
1936. In Evansville... the average temperature for the Summer season
is running 79.4 degrees or 2.7 degrees above normal through July.

It's been in the low to mid 80s here all week.   :yes:

But the Dew Point is still in the mid 70s.

After all the flooding this spring, who woulda thunk it?

Some models are showing the remnants of TS Lee heading into Indiana.  I just don't want to see any more flooding.
