I think Cox may be available for me in the Santa Cruz area. Wonder if it has another STAR? Other than that, it's Comcast or Dish. We don't have many cable choices out here like everyone else does.

Same thing in Ventnor City, NJ. Its either COmcast, Dish or DirecTV. Verizon fios might come but hasn't been in our area so far. Comcast basic cable is 52.80$$, while Digital Cable with wxscan is 53.80! Which is better? Digital !

Cox most likely has the IS, because we got upgraded to the IS with Cox right when it came out. That may not be the same with all Cox headends, though.

COx Communications still has the XL? Some of them have an Intellistar right?

Yes some cox headends still use the weatherstar XL but only for the smaller cities. The bigger cities are the ones that have the intellistar.
