Should Forecast Earth Return?

Since Carl Parker has been doing Earth Watch segments should TWC bring back Forecast Earth this time with Carl Hosting?

No that would just be another long form program to have to deal with.  :nono:

Nooooooooooooooooooo. If they're gonna exaggerate with their "OMGglobalwarningrunferyerlief" bullcrap, then they should not return. Hearing about that makes me want to explode.

Although... Carl Parker does talk about it by sharing some interesting articles. I think he makes a good host.

Absolutely not. You know what happened in 2007.

I'd be optimistic. I really wouldn't want to deal with more long-form and global warming talk, but if they made new shows, that'd be ok... because I hate watching all of the repeats.

Obviously nobody wants more long form but honestly environmental stuff is better than some of the junk they are airing now.

I wouldn't mind it coming back. At least it pertains to weather and forecasting compared some of the more recent programming they've added (like Cantore Stories).

What is Cantore Stories even about? :dunno: I have never watched it, nor do I care to.

But I don't want to see FE coming back either, although Carl would be a good host.

From what I understand, Jim just visits places and meets all different kinds of weird people. I've watched 10 minutes of it, and found that this show has nothing to do with weather whatsoever.

I haven't watched a single episode, and your description of it doesn't even peek my interest to begin viewing it.  Storm Stories is where Jim Cantore best fits.

In regards to the question posed here, I vote "no" unless a completely new, fair, and educative layout is used.  Most environmental shows do a poor job by only showing one viewpoint of climate change rather than the whole picture.

What if TWC decided to bring a Climatology show and it was based off what you posted Patrick? what layout should TWC use?

Facts based, Opinion based, or Viewer Based?

It needs to be fact-based.  We've heard way too many opinions, and the public is clueless about climate change right now.  We've heard the "gloom and doom" predictions of global warming, but little information has been shown from other sides.  Did you know there are dozens of cycles within the oceans, the atmosphere, and the Sun itself that naturally cause climate change?  What if nature is actually able to offset some of our human-induced global warming to make things better than what's predicted?  No show bothers to explore all these questions, and we still don't know enough about how everything interacts together to affect our climate.  Thus, even the predictions you all hear could end up being way off as many assumptions have to be put into climate models to simulate Earth in the future.

In short, climate change is so much more complex than what anyone has portrayed to you all, and global warming is only one aspect of it.  The coverage you all have received about this whole issue frankly doesn't even serve enough justice to the science and research behind this topic.
