I realized something.

I caught a couple of minutes of 20/20 tonight, and I heard the same music used for some segments on EE. Could it be that TWC had to buy the rights to play that music or is a free use agreement?

I thought so. I rarely ever see 20/20, so hearing the same tune from EE was a pleasant surprise.

That's not the EE music, it's just one of the production tracks TWC uses, but I've heard it on other channels too.

Okay. It is like if a network wants to use such music for a promo or commercial, for example, can license it for that track to play during that?
