If this is Storm Alert mode now (which it now is) and there's no music for it... THEN THIS SUCKS!

Talk about anti-climatic... nothing to emphasize the sense of urgency that we've got a hurricane on our hands here. Sure, I know. It's only music. But it sets the tone on what is to come.

I don't want to jump the gun, but maybe we'll see them step it up come the West Coast edition. The lead-in and lead-out music beds are okay though.

Are you talking about music for the Gustav openers or LF Storm Alert music?

Of course I am hoping for Storm Alert music during the LF, but I am slightly disappointed in the music for the openers. It is barely different from the regular opener music for the tropical update. I LOVED the hurricane/music graphics from 2006-2007. There was a definite Storm Alert theme. Just take a look at this YouTube video (courtesy of Tyler).

Yep. It made the small tropical system seem large and urgent.

I'm a little diappointed in how the Storm Alert Opener is made too, I'm more disappointed that there's no Storm Alert Music!

Apologies if this has been posted, but apparently the rules for Storm Alert has changed.  It now has to be a major (cat 3+) storm and within 15-18hrs of landfall.

This hadn't been posted yet (that I've seen). Tehre was a debate about it, but no one had any information like that.

Love it while you can, because I'm afraid I may have to ask him to get rid of it. Its an exact copy of TWC's banner.

Are they gonna play the one that sounds like the 2005 SA song on the LF once the storm makes landfall? IIRC they did the panic song before w/e weak TS they went into SA back in 06 made landfall, then did the switch

Sorry, I guess that's illegal. :(  Can I give credit to TWC on the sig, or would you rather me remove it right away? It won't be up for long; I'll replace it right when Storm Alert is over.
