No, I've never seen it before.  It must be even more interesting to see that on a local Star-based local forecast!

I'd like to pass on a little request, if you don't mind.  If you want us to notice something, but post a four and a half minute video for us to find it in, it might be helpful if you tell us where to look: what part of the screen, and, most importantly, how far into the video we have to look.  My eyes were going back and forth between the LDL and the maps waiting for this to show up, knowing it wouldn't be long, and I was dreading having to watch over four minutes before I could find it.  Fortunately, I didn't have to wait that long, but I still didn't enjoy not knowing where to look or how long I'd have to look.

So, to those who are also interested: look on the LDL for the current conditions from New York City.

PBS, on the other hand, is primarily directed towards old people. So the programming is more intelligent.

PBS is for old people?  Grannies watch "Sesame Street"?  PBS, as you said, is for intelligent programming, though age has nothing to do with it.  Children watch during the daytime, and adults watch in the evening and at night.

The holiday memories segment with Vivian Brown that I saw overnight was captioned "Happy Holiday's!"

The day will come when rules of grammar, punctuation, and spelling will mean nothing.

It was kinda funny for the first few movies he did but now they are just lame and predictable

That's how the business works, sadly.  When studios see what audiences like, they capitalize on that, and that alone, until the same audiences just get tired of it all and stop paying money.  Unfortunately, there's little room for independent thinking and creativity in show business.  Money and profit, not talent and not ideas, are what drive show biz.

That's why I donate generously (probably more than I would otherwise feel comfortable affording) to PBS and NPR.  Non-commercial broadcasting is like a fresh breath amidst the suffocating nonsense of the rest of what's available on TV and the radio.  They're not slaves to the advertisers.

There are few actors I simply can not stand to see.  Adam Sandler is definitely on that list. :wall:

Although, I've never heard of Millersville University.

It's a public university in Pennsylvania.

If I were to change programming:

It's nice to have a dream.  :)

Me, I'd bring TWC back to what it was in the late 1980s and early 1990s.  That was the absolute height of the network in my opinion.

Thanks for doing the research - great work!

Oh, those were the days, when The Weather Channel was a force to be respected.  :)

I'm seeing an error message saying the video can't be embedded here.

Yeah, it's been quite chilly (by our standards) in central Florida today.  And yet some people down here seem unable to modify their wardrobe: plenty of people still outside in T-shirts and shorts!!

Whatever it was, it was vile.  I had to walk home from work during the worst of it, and my usual 30-minute walk took almost twice as long.  An umbrella was useless in that rain, so I ended up getting soaked straight through, even with a "waterproof" raincoat.  My feet got so thoroughly soaked that the traces of the skin problems I had are still visible a month and a half later.

Happy early Thanksgiving to you, too, and enjoy your visit.

I'll be working all day Thursday, but at least I get double pay, and that, combined with long hours means my bank account will be a little bit happier.  :)

Thank you for taking the time to explain.  :)

No problem!  I like when people ask questions I can answer easily.  :)
