That's a coincidence - I used to live in Middlesex County, Massachusetts!  :)

Both waves of storms yesterday passed to the south of Daytona Beach, and we barely got a sprinkle from them.  However, it's raining buckets outside right now, and if it doesn't end within the next 20 minutes, I'm going to have a very wet walk to work.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: All the OCMs acting the same?

Are you saying that if Dave Schwartz were still there, they wouldn't let him act the way he always acted, like saying, "Good to see you tonight, my friend."?

Oh, I miss that.

General Discussion / Re: Comcast TV guide infoboxes

It could be that the station that airs these series in syndication doesn't provide information about which specific episodes will be airing to the guide service, or the guide service just ignores this information.  Either way, there's a lack of communication somewhere.

LOL @ "Grampa Simpson's favorite series" !!! :rofl2:

TV stations really don't care all that much about the disruption a move will make to an employee's life.  They give the employee the choice of moving or looking for a new job.  And if a contract's been signed that's hard to get out of... then there really isn't any choice at all.

The cable techs don't enter this information themselves.  The cable company subscribes to a service that does this for them.

If specific episode information isn't entered yet for an upcoming show, these services usually post a generic description of the whole series as a filler until more specific information is programmed into the guide.

One reason the information might not be there yet is because it's too far in the future for the guide service to have entered more specific information.  Another reason would be that the channel the show is airing on hasn't yet provided the service with more specific information other than the fact that this show is airing in its regular timeslot.

At this point, Antenna TV is one of the few remaining *good* channels on the air.

Don't jinx it! :hammer:

VH1 Classic, a music channel dedicated to all things classic hard rock and metal, is now showing the sitcom "Married... with Children" on the network. What does that show have to do with hard rock and/or metal?  :dunno:

That's downright bizarre.  Pretty soon, every single channel is going to be a carbon copy of every other single channel.

Yes, I saw it live.  :)

I also remember one of the bumpers before a local forecast (from the days when they showed a high-angle view of the anchor desk broadcast live)... Dave Schwartz, I believe it was (but correct me if I'm wrong) was talking to a woman, started to sit down at the desk, but slipped off the chair and fell on the floor.  I can only imagine what they were saying in the control room.  :)

The absolute best walk-behind was when the window cleaners were cleaning the window behind the anchor desk.  :)
