No, it's not.
It was at the time of my opening post in this thread. It must have been removed shortly after that.

I notice that the Thanksgiving banner is still at the top of the forum page. When will the Christmas banner be added?

I want Auburn to beat Alabama tomorrow.

TWC doesn't run this site. So while we may agree, there's nothing we can do. Sorry.
I'm afraid that is true. We don't have any control over it. It's sad about all the ones who have been laid off. :( I am thankful, though, that we can relive the memories of them here at twc classics and watch old videos of them on there and on you tube. :)

Local Forecast / Re: the weather channels christmas music 2010
« on: November 24, 2010, 06:47:51 PM »
I hope they start it sooner than the 18th. I hope they start it around the 15th or 16th. I also hope that "I Saw Three Ships" and "We Three Kings" both by David Arkenstone are on again, as well as, "Holiday Dance" by Michael Colone and "Carol of the Bells" by David Foster.

Back during the classic years, namely the early to mid 90s, they started it around the 10th or 11th but they had a bad habit of playing a mixture of both Christmas and non-Christmas music at the time.

I don't like the travels commercial with the bunny rabbits and the rattlesnake.

Does anyone follow college football? Anyone heard of Cam Newton of Auburn and the scandal?

Wow, that brings me back.  Once upon a time I had every single WeatherStar III flavor committed to memory.  And this was actually a bigger feat then, since there was no "local on the 8's" back then... the local forecast came on at different times depending on the time of day.  :)
Well, thank you. I am glad you like them. :)

Any commercial that is louder than the program you are watching.

I am above the age of 18, which means I am elgible to vote and will do so in tomorrow's election. The governor's race in Alabama, I am not too happy about. As always, my choice in the lesser of two evils. Neither candidate are conservatives, Ron Sparks (D) and Robert Bently (R). I am considering writing in the candidate I voted for in the primary earlier this year.

OCMs & Personalities / Re: Re: Alexandra Steele Let Go
« on: October 31, 2010, 06:28:24 PM »
I will admit, I am not as unhappy to see her go as I am some of the others they've gotten rid of in recent months and years such as Bill Keneely, Mark Mancuso and Dave Schwartz.

IMO, Alexandra doesn't really qualify as a "classic" OCM.

General Weather Chat / Re: Summer 2009 Heat Compared to Summer 2010
« on: October 30, 2010, 06:32:10 PM »
Are La Nina summers hotter than average in the midwest, south and eastern U.S.? The summers of 1988, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2007 and this year have been warmer than average for the eastern U.S, in some cases, the south and midwest and in other cases, the south and east coast. All of those summers were either during or just starting a La Nina pattern.

We still need more rain here in Alabama. We got some good totals this past week. Our next oppurtuninty is the middle of next week. We are also in what we call our "secondary" tornado season. Not many places in the country have 2 distinct tornado seasons.  I'll be glad to get more rain. :)
