I miss the heat. I am soooo not ready for the chilly weather to come ahead!~
I agree with you. I am not fond of cold weather. Summer is my favorite season.

Everything Else Classic TWC / Who is the voice-over?
« on: September 17, 2011, 06:13:32 PM »
I am initiating this thread to hopefully spark activity, interest and curiosity here on the classics sub forum. I haven't seen or heard much about this on twc classics but does anyone know the name of the woman who the voice-over is in these videos?

Thanks to everyone who commented! I guess we'll leave things as they are. I honestly didn't expect anyone to care, so this is good. :)

I'm glad everything will stay as it is.
Me, too.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Link from TWC Classics?
« on: September 15, 2011, 10:30:01 PM »
Why? Don't you know how to get here?
Yeah but I like to get here from twc classics. Besides, since this is both twcc and twct merged together, then I think there ought to be a link from both sites.

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Link from TWC Classics?

I noticed that the link to these forums from the TWC Classics site is gone. I wondered if it could be brought back.

Well I think the content should stay for nostalgic reasons. A few minutes ago, I was looking on twcclassics.com, and I was looking at the old playlists. From time to time, I like to look at playlists that were before my time. It was amazing how long they were in the 80s and especially the 90s. Like somebody said on the forum a while back, it's funny how we complain about how long playlists are now. Some of those playlists lasted up to 10 months!  :o
I agree, the TWC Classics subforums should remain for nostalgic purposes, as well as the other reasons mentioned by TampaMillTWC88. Please don't remove them.

Local Forecast / Re: Dan Chandler's local forecast narration
« on: September 06, 2011, 06:58:03 PM »
Actually the temperature/precipitation forecast "above/below normal" or "normal" was on the "outlook" page, when the narration said "your regions long range outlook"; not on the almanac page.

Local Forecast / Dan Chandler's local forecast narration

Whenever, the "Almanac" page was seen on either the 3000 or 4000, which would tell you, depending on which STAR, the moon phases, the average high and low temperatures for the date, the average precipitation for the month, the sunrise and sunset times and tidal information if you're on the coast, why would his narration refer to the "Almanac" page as "special regional information"? Just curious.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: WOW! Cable is Going Digital
« on: September 01, 2011, 06:03:23 PM »
The tv in my bedroom is hooked up to cable with a vcr and dvd player but I don't have a cable box. Does that mean that every tv in my house that has cable hooked up to it without a box will have to have a box? I sure hope not.

Hurricane Central / Re: Hurricane Irene
« on: August 25, 2011, 04:45:37 PM »
Irene seems to be lowering the barometric pressure here... its down to 29.76 inches
I know what you mean. I am in SW FL south of Fort Myers and north of Naples to visit my grandparents and it's quite blustery here, but, hey, I'll take that over getting hit by the hurricane. I've also noticed a lack of lightning with the dark clouds I have seen today. I don't like that very much. :(

Questions, Comments, Suggestions / Re: Content for August?
« on: August 17, 2011, 09:46:53 PM »
What do you mean new content for August? Did I promise to upload new content every month? :pinch:
Well, you had it for June and July, so I figured you'd also have it for August. I don't guess so.

In most states, the exit numbers on the interstates have nothing to do with the mile markers.

As everybody knows, it's now the 15th of the month, so where is the new content for August? There's still the content for July which was last month.

From this point forward, anyone doing a political attack on another person will result in a warning or further consequences.  There have been several members who feel so strongly divided about their beliefs that it has caused a wide split at times in threads.  I think it's too much, especially since we all came together here to share in the same interests.  We're all friends here, so let's treat each other respectfully.  Thanks.
What happened?
