Warren, on behalf on TWC Today and TWC Classics, welcome to the forums. :welcome:  I have watched several of your storm chasing videos and used to purchase your 'Storms' calendar each year.

Anyway, wouldn't Reed give live reports to more than one network? Jeff Pitrowski was giving reports on Fox News on May 31 of last year, during the El Reno, Oklahoma outbreak.

I agree.  Despite all its hype for providing coverage during severe weather, the weather bulletin crawls aren't nearly as prominent or "urgent" as they once were, but just a minor addition to an already-busy screen.
Well, I'm glad it's still there, but I wish the print was larger. I hope there's still a tone alert on mine, because we haven't been under any warnings, except Winter Storm Warnings.

Good grief, it sounds like Comcast wants to take over all the other cable companies.  :fear:

There is no audio tone any more, but they do crawl still. They are all red now too. No yellow/orange.
The audio alert tone still plays...on my IS.
It does?

I am bumping this topic to give anyone who is a Florida State college football fan a big congratulations.  The Seminoles just won the national championship after defeating Auburn 34-31.
That ended the SEC's streak of BCS national titles. The SEC dominated 7 straight seasons with Florida in 2006, LSU in 2007, Florida in 2008, Alabama in 2009, Auburn in 2010, Alabama in 2011 and 2012. Next year it will be a playoff format instead of the controversial BCS system.

The Super Bowl was a one-sided game.  :o

This may seem like a dumb question, but since I haven't had much severe weather since the relaunch 3 months ago I wanted to ask this: Will severe weather alerts such severe thunderstorm and tornado watches and severe thunderstorm, tornado, and flash flood warnings still be scrolling at the bottom of the screen making loud beeps?

Fortunately today, the temperatures are up into the 50s and that most of the snow and ice patches on the roads are gone. :) Yesterday morning, some places in Northern Alabama got below 0. We had single digits both Wednesday morning and yesterday morning. We also had single digits back on the morning of January 7th. :brr: Good riddance to January!

The forecast for this storm was a total bust. The snow we experienced here in Birmingham yesterday caught everyone unaware. People out in it were stranded and some left their vehicles. People had to stay at work overnight and children had to stay at overnight at schools. That isn't even all. It's been total chaos around here since yesterday.

It is! I saw him on this morning talking to Vivian Brown about the roads around here being gridlock due to the unexpected snow yesterday.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion

Just this morning, I was thinking about reality shows and other long form programming. If there is a big weather story, such a a winter storm, hurricane, or severe weather outbreak, TWC will preempt regular programming. I've heard them say "we're sorry we had to preempt Breaking Ice", for example and I am like "don't apologize for that, weather coverage is the way TWC used to be and ought to be!!

I am so sick of winter. It's been too cold and it's staying cold. No change in this pattern for the foreseeable future.  :hmm: Friday morning it's supposed to go down to 10 degrees!  :brr:
