If I may: I’m glad TWC brought back the LDA. Ever since TWC debuted the HD LDA/LDL, I’ve liked the fact that TWC offered more info on the HD LDA/LDL than on TWC’s SD LDL.
When TWC brought on the HD LDL, in testing, it was only on during TWC’s long form programming. Which I liked because it was a way to get weather info in HD during long form programming. Long form programming had no weather info before TWC’s HD LDL came on.
As of 10:00AMCT: the old HD LDA/LDL is on DP

The segment was great but what I don't under stand is: Is LR going to be actual show or just a segment on WC? Or are they starting slow with LR with putting them on WC first?

Instead, a normal-sized LDL that cycles through the cities resides at the bottom of the screen. I'll tell ya, it's nice to finally see TWC live programming in true widescreen, something I haven't seems since the LDA has been around since I got the HD feed. Hopefully it's gone for good!
I did see the LDA on FO this morning. We'll see
about DP later.

« on: May 20, 2010, 09:27:24 PM »wtf... this is confusing. So Dish plans to get rid of TWC, yet they save it and plans to keep both TWC and The Weather Cast? I was honestly hoping things would go as planned earlier. And I don't see anything that says TWC will remain on Dish.

the new contract must start SAT morning so Dish and TWC will end their current contract tonight, wait a day and startup again.

While I agree TWC doesn't show enough Weather coverage I would not go this far. After I saw the people on The Weather Cast I'm so glad we 're kepping both!

My mother just called Dish, Dish saved TWC!!!
TWC WILL go off at midnight tonight then wait 24 hours and then it will be back on. I believe Dish is keeping both (weather cast and weather channel.)

I just got Dish HD for my room (had Dish SD before) and I'm am so mad !!! Have you guys seen The Weather Cast? while the graphics and the LDL looks nice, the people are not TWC quality! ACCUweather looks better! I say Dish should keep both

after I restarted Dish Weather cast is on 213 and TWC is still on 214,
