According to TV Insider, The Weather Channel will now be live on Thanksgiving from 6AM-10PM.

My DISH Guide says the same thing. We all know Guides can be wrong however AMHQ is still on..........

Does anybody on here remember TWC's plan to have nothing but long-form on Christmas Day way back in 2008? Well, as it turns out, this is 2 weeks from becoming reality. On Thanksgiving Day, TWC is going to have a marathon of "The Earth Unlocked" from 6am et on Thanksgiving morning right until Black Friday morning at 5am et. This means TWC will have a record 32 hours straight of long-form starting on Wednesday night (before Thanksgiving) at 10pm et until Black Friday morning at 6am et.

TWC  knows Better!!!!!! If TWC misses a Big Story.....I WILL NOT defend them!!!!!  Long-form IS NOT TWC 's Legacy!!!!!!

They brought it back!?! Awesome. I always wondered if they would.

I figured they stopped b/c it cost too much & as I've said before, they're low in funds.

It returning for a Wednesdays-Fridays look would be nice. "Wayback Wed., Throwback Th., Flashback Fridays"

Its an iconic TWC look. Thanks to those of you who still update this site every now & then. 

I don't think it Returned........

There's really no reason TWC can't bring this back!  They already use the Twilight Live software as they go to Commercial in the Afternoon.   TWC just needs to commit to Retro 8s and Twilight Live!


I barely watched TWC today! I didn't even know it was National Retro Day!

Not surprised they decided to take it off, rumor has it this was not intended to be a long term thing.

Actually, I think it lasted longer than TWC planned. Still a Loss in my Book though.

This is WAY BETTER than Longform!!!!!!!!! Would be nice if TWC could do this more Hours on Weekends/Evenings!

Jen Carfagno stated on Twitter that AMHQ Early has been discontinued temporarily. I’m guessing this is because TWC’s employees/producers have been working from home these past few weeks.

Guess it's technically still Weather All The Time as the LDL stays on during the commerical breaks, and it's not stupidly labeled LOT8.

Glad they ditched the L Bar, it became pretty worthless in recent years.

New graphics look pretty good, in my opinion. Fullscreen LOT8 bit of a letdown - exactly the same except for the new font used.

Glad the L Bar fearuing longform ads are gone!! Rolleyes!

However wonder what they'll do if the US gets a landfall? The L Bar was handy then. WeatherNation even uses the L Bar for landfalls. 

WeatherNation still has their L Bar and graphics.
