Forecast for today... templates by Donovan.

67 and 69 for lows? I thought this was summer.  :P I heard that we'll finally get a break from all that rain, and it'll just be typical summertime afternoon storms from now on.

TWC and your Cable Company / Re: Is cable TV going downhill?
« on: July 01, 2011, 02:27:13 PM »
IMO, each generation likes their generation of TV.

Let's use the Disney Channel as an example. People who are teenagers now think that Disney Channel has gone downhill (myself included) because they added shows like 'Shake it Up' and 'Hannah Montana', because they grew up watching 'Phil of the Future' and 'Boy Meets World'. While the current generation of Disney viewers love these shows, and will probably end up hating the next generation of Disney shows.

That's just my worth.

Yeah, I remember the days when Disney actually showed Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. I also grew up on Ducktales, Chip n' Dale, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, etc. They also aired cool sitcoms (albeit reruns) like Sister Sister and Smart Guy. Now all you see is Hannah Montana and Suite Life. I don't watch that channel at all, partly because I'm older, and partly because most of the shows don't interest me much. The last Disney show I watched was That's So Raven, which they don't even show anymore, except on Saturday mornings on ABC.

Wow, that has to be the earliest footage Ive seen of TS01 from CD 1
Really? Then you'll be amazed when I post footage of TS from Jan 1st. :D

FYI - The first song is not production music. It's "Good Morning" by Craig Peyton.

Thanks for the song info, it's a catchy song.

I just came across the video yesterday. This was a classic song, and it is catchy.  I had not heard this song in 15 years!  :hmm:

What is the name of this Ficara song? It is my favorite Ficara song, and I remember hearing it a lot in 98.

It was only used in the fall of 96.

I remember hearing this song vividly, but I was unsure if it was used in 97 also.

I didn't know who the artist or the name of the song was, but I remembered the song. I was able to find Craig Peyton's Good Morning on the suggestions list by Youtube, while looking at a video of Brian Tarquin's Apache Road in 96. I have not heard Good Morning in 14-15 years!  :o This was a classic from TWC's golden age era, because it was around 96 that I really seriously got into TWC. Did this play in 1997 or 1998, also?

Yeah, me too. Wouldn't be surprised if it lasts into early July, though.

Today is the two-year anniversary of Michael Jackson's passing.  However, his legacy will forever live on, as the greatest entertainer of all time!  RIP MJ.
Meh.. I was more upset when Billy Mays died!
Hahaha! :P
It's amazing how heartless and insensitive some people can be.  :hammer:

There is a tornado warning just south of St. Louis but TWC is not pre empting the longform. I agree with the earlier posts, they have been very inconsistent with their coverage of severe weather. In a season like this where severe tstorms happen almost every night TWC has really demonstrated how unreliable it has become. The old TWC we loved isn't coming back, so the best option now is local TV or NOAA radio.

TWC doesn't want to "waste time" covering live weather anymore. It is cheaper and more convenient for them to repeat programming, rather than break into the programming and actually cover the severe weather. We might as well get used to it.  TWC will only cover severe weather when they feel like it.
