Well, we are a few weeks into the 2015 MLB season, and here are the current leaders of the divisions:
AL East: Tie between the Red Sox, Yankees, and Rays
AL Central: Royals (my favorite team, the Tigers, are just one game back)
AL West: Astros
NL East: Mets
NL Central: Cardinals
NL West: Dodgers
Any predictions as to who will win the World Series this year? As of right now, the Vegas odds have the Tigers, Dodgers, and Nationals all tied for the top spot at 8:1 for winning the 2015 WS. The Tigers started very hot, with a formidable offense and strong pitching, despite losing Max Scherzer to the Nationals. However, they have cooled a bit in terms of hitting and pitching over the past several games, so hopefully they can regain control. The Nationals really are not performing all that well right now, mainly due to their poor defense, and are currently in 3rd place in the NL East with a 7-11 record. The Dodgers are in first place in the NL West division, and they have fairly good hitting and pitching, so I can definitely see them being a contender.

« on: April 26, 2015, 11:56:17 AM »Ten years ago today - April 24, 2005 - on a rainy Sunday afternoon I came across TWC Classics from a random Google image search of Weatherscan. Until then I had no idea that TWC had such a big fanbase. Can't believe it's been that long, felt like it was yesterday!Also on that day, my area got 4" of snow from a late season snow storm! In fact, the northern suburbs of Detroit got 12-18" of snow!

EDIT: The slightly updated graphics are now working properly on my STAR.
Seeing the end of the national LF is a lot better than seeing the hashtag screen IMO.

I don't like the conecpt of dual feed. TWC says they'll only cut into longform programming for areas that are impacted by severe weather; but that only works for people who have cable and are served by a local Intellistar/Intellistar 2 JR/IntelliStar 2. What about those who have satellite, and may have limited or no internet access, and cannot view the live stream on Youtube? I would definitely change the channel to a more credible local station if that were the case. There are too many flaws with the dual feed system; and the severe weather cut-ins should be aired nationwide.

Everything Else TWC / Re: General TWC Discussion
« on: September 21, 2014, 01:36:46 PM »Looks like every holiday that is included on the "Holiday Countdown" wheel on the sidebar will have a special LF-decorated background. Not sure why they include both real ones (like Fourth of July, Christmas, Thanksgiving) and other questionable ones (like Friday the 13th and Intl Talk Like a Pirate Day). The Pirate Day one really gets me. I mean, every day has a National Something tied to it. What makes Pirate Day so special?Fully agree with you!I feel like TWC is trying to be a little too cute. There comes a point when the cute attempts trump professionalism. This, I feel, is one of those moments.
