General Discussion / How many people don't have a computer?
« on: December 09, 2008, 08:30:46 PM »
I guess this is kind of random, but how many people do you think in the US still don't have a computer as of 2008? like 1%? 10%? Just wondering what you think. :)

General Discussion / Illinois politics at its finest

Gotta love it!

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/09/us/politics/09text-illinois.html

I'm sure most of you have heard this already. But this is nothing out of the ordinary, in terms of Illinois government. We're a very corrupt state.

General Discussion / Browser question
« on: December 03, 2008, 06:44:42 PM »
As you all know, pretty much every internet browser has an auto complete feature. Is there a way to clear specific entries from the auto complete feature without wiping EVERYTHING out? :hmm:

I found a video of that song that everyone likes from Feb 2008.

It's live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YU4CrEOB7sc (The video's owner prevents external embedding)

General Discussion / Do you consider yourself eco-friendly?
« on: November 30, 2008, 03:59:42 PM »
Do you save energy? Do you try to drive less? Do you recycle? Do you buy biodegradable/eco-friendly products?

Do you consider yourself to be eco-friendly?

I'm bored.

Just wondering: Is it possible to decrease the number of emoticons that appear directly on the posting page. Whenever I make a post, it always takes a little while for all of the emoticons to load. Maybe it's possible to show just one line of the emoticons versus 2.5?

I dunno.

Bug Reports / Running emulator for extended periods of time
« on: November 13, 2008, 07:29:21 PM »
Lately I've been having the emulator run constantly on one of my computers. I notice that after 5+ hours, the emulator is stuck on the "Splash screen" and does not change. Music continues to rotate, however.

Local Forecast / Core Of Io
« on: November 05, 2008, 07:30:15 PM »
I know this has been brought up before, but has anyone had any recent luck contacting Gregg Dalesandro aka "Core Of Io"? I looked through some backup CD's I have, and found that the copy of "Mother My Angel" is practically un-listenable.

Anyone? :(

Yeah..  :hmm: Picked this one up real cheap. Built from 1995-1997, it's more expandable than a Mac Pro (), with 6 PCI slots. This thing is a beast. The processor is on a removable daughtercard. Really fast SCSI bus (No IDE/ATA) and an overall excellent motherboard architecture.

This is noted as being one of the WORST cases that Apple has ever made. I took it off last night to install my drive, and spent over 4 hours trying to get the SOB back on. Whatever.

This was also one of the only Macs to use a PowerPC 604e microprocessor.
It's a Power Macintosh 9500. :)

(you can click the thumbnails for larger pics)

It doesn't boot though. Have to figure that one out. :P

Local Forecast / TWC Songs you've heard in other places
« on: October 01, 2008, 03:56:18 PM »
I didn't see this topic here, so I thought I'd bring it up. Have you heard music features on TWC in other places, such as radio, stores, etc.? If so, which songs/artists and where?

My friend and I were coming home from school today, and on the radio, there was a commercial that featured Steve Glotzer's "January Day" in the background, playing throughout the commercial. A good 1 minute portion was used.

General Discussion / Inconsiderate people....................
« on: September 20, 2008, 09:47:51 AM »
SOME people in my immediate area think it's lovely to start jack-hammering and sawing at 8:30 on a Saturday morning....Others enjoy having their lawn mowing people come around 8

What's worse is having ALL of that at the same time. A steady wall of noise.

What ever happened to common courtesy?

This is why I hate people, and the suburbs....
