I think the bigger issue is that Verizon dropped a channel so suddenly, period. I for one do not recall receiving any sort of notification - email, Verizon Message, or otherwise - about any channels being dropped whatsoever, until the day it was actually done, and even then it came like 6 to 7 hours AFTER the fact. They can claim they emailed people but unless I see it in my inbox, it didn't happen (and it's a Verizon inbox at that).

Anyway, THAT is what really got people angry, and the fact they did it to TWC...yeah. As many rants as people can come up with about TWC and where it is today (and believe me I know there's a *LOT*), there's just as many who can rant about Verizon's actions too and how illogical they were. And yes the excuse they tried to use is crap - and full of hypocrisy, otherwise they wouldn't have replaced it with another weather source. Hence TWC's reaction to it.

Yep, they even have their "Keep The Weather Channel" site up again, and I've seen ads on YouTube videos about it, before I even knew the site was back up.

TWC's really blasting back. No telling with Verizon though, they're stubborn as all get out.

I'm not sure what's going on. It's been down for several days. I asked Nick if he could find out, but he doesn't have Bill's email address. We're thinking he might have been hacked, but I'm surprised he hasn't fixed (or at least addressed) the problem yet. Very strange.

Me and a couple of other guys are doing what we can to find out what happened with taiganet. The download script page still works and whatnot though, and it still gives you the latest public release.

Thanks. It did fix it for a little while, then it went right back to cuing late again. Although not as bad as it was last time.

It appears that IS 26822 has been cuing really late - anywhere from around 6 to as much as 10 seconds late at times. This also affects local commercial inserts as well as the LDL. Thanks in advance for looking into this.

It seems that for the past several days, IntelliSTAR unit #26822 has been cuing the local forecast really late (5 to 8 seconds late, varies). This is also affecting all local services provided by the unit (LDL, STAR ID screen, etc).

There's two issues regarding #26822 that I'd like to report.

1. I just noticed my channel/STAR ID screen is showing the incorrect channel. TWC is channel 119 for me, but the screen shows channel 99, which isn't even a valid channel on my service.
2. Unit #26822 is also cuing late...very late in fact. It's so bad now that the extended forecast screen shows at almost the same time the music ends and the live feed begins, nearly 9 to 10 seconds late.


STAR ID: 26822
Headend: Verizon FiOS (Dallas/Ft. Worth)
Channel: 119

EDIT: Cuing perfectly again, thanks! Just need to see if we can't get that channel/STAR ID screen to reflect the correct channel.

EDIT 2: Channel ID is correct now, confirmed that as of 2:58 PM CST today. Thanks again!
