As much as I normally hate TWC's stupid decisions, this one isn't entirely surprising. If they're seriously resorting to having no live programming on Thanksgiving, then viewership in the last couple years has likely been very low. Cable TV’s viewership as a whole continues to decline, and while there will be plenty of people watching TWC on the days leading up to and after Thanksgiving, nobody is really watching on Thanksgiving day itself.

I wouldn’t be surprised if other channels start doing this as well in the future. People these days are looking to save money wherever they can, and if they can do so by not paying meteorologists to work on a day with a very limited audience, they will do that. As much as I hate to say this, I’m surprised they didn’t start doing this years ago.  On the other hand, if Thanksgiving ends up being a highly active weather day and they don’t cover it, that’ll be a different story and one to be upset about. If the day ends up quiet, I see little reason to be upset about this. TWC has been on the air for us on the daily for decades, and missing one day so most of the staff can spend time with their families I don't think is much to be angry about.

It was only shown before a few commercial breaks on February 27th. I don't think it has been seen since.

This is a very good move. They haven't been on the air this late in the day since 2013. Now if only they could add a couple extra hours on weekends too... guess we can't ask for too much. Better just take what we can get.

I've only recorded from 2014 onwards, but, I've been watching TWC for many years before that. Having a father who's been interested in TWC his whole life, sort of came down to me.

I've always had a suspicion about this sort of thing. It sure seems interesting this only comes up now that they think we're going to have a hotter summer this year than in years past.

I really don't care for electric cars. This country isn't ready for them, good enough infrastructure isn't in place, and, now this. I feel like the benefits of electric cars are outweighed by the production of their batteries, which are often worse than the chemicals used in traditional gasoline cars.

Glad to still see someone posting art here. I used to look at this stuff constantly several years ago, and it's nice to see that not absolutely everything is on Discord these days. I really like how that turned out.

Definitely not surprised. First rumor I heard was that it was meant to stop airing at the end of July.

Not surprised they decided to take it off, rumor has it this was not intended to be a long term thing.
