IMO, the narration is a perfect example of - laziness.

Most americans these days are too lazy to walk to their TVs and flip on the channel to TWC. They'll just sit tight (again my opinion, no offense) and listen to the narration at their own pleasure.

Yes I know it's a major advantage for the blind but even then, not every visually impaired person will watch TWC

True, but I think that a responsible network has to try and cater to every possible viewer. Or at least as many as possible.

Let's use NOTHING but common sense here: Why on EARTH would a BLIND person have a TELEVISION???????????????????

If that's not indredibly rediculous, than i don't know what is.

Adding to that, back in the 90's, wasn't it viewers that COMPLAINED about Dan Chandler's narration, resulting in it being removed? It seems like the network did just the same with and without it, over the years.

Wrong... The introduction of the Local Update product on the 4000 in 1995 caused Chandler's narration to be removed.

Really? I could've sworn someone at TWC Classics said that a few years ago...

Couldn't they have just added narration for the Local Update? It's not like it announced that actual information, anyway. In fact, Up until the IS, the narration was 100% pointless, as it didn't read the actual info.

Dating back to 2000, the XL's Current Conditions and Extended Forecast narration was actually useful.

Probably because it's common sense, and I'm a man who takes common sense to heart.  :whistling2:
