I am seeing it in Dayton, too.
I don't think it ever existed for my area.

I just got back home and saw this and all I can say is "Meh". I can do without the traffic data, but to each it's own I guess.  :itsok: It only seems to display for the main city the IS unit serves. I only saw it for Atlanta, not College Park and Dunwoody.

Guys, I have a feeling that TWC has a new contract with Traffic Pulse (now known as Here.com).
It's not Traffic Pulse. It's a new vendor, but I can't confirm which one yet.

I personally think the traffic is a useful product (really would be shocked if people complained about it because they only wanted weather on the LDL), but if it's limited in what it displays, then it would be nicer if it can expand coverage if possible.  I'd be curious to know what the new traffic vendor is.

Unfortunately, with the LOT8s being so darn short, I don't see it as a good idea to make traffic a part of the LOT8s.

Light research indicates if it here here.com then it essentially is TrafficPulse.

Still not getting a local forecast to check it out myself, along with that seems to be 50% of the country based on what I'm seeing on their facebook.

Don't see it on the IntelliStar or IS2HD in San Luis Obispo, CA. Must not be a big enough city for the product, despite having some nasty traffic sometimes. Especially during rush hour.

McAllen's IntelliStar and IntelliStar 2 HD both have the Traffic product on the LDL.

Since I remember seeing a bunch of iHeartRadio promos recently on TWC, I wonder if perhaps the new traffic vendor is Total Traffic. Both are products of Clear Channel, and perhaps the two sides worked out a trade deal - you get our data. we get some ad time.

I saw the traffic on my IS yesterday.  I'm excited, and I'll have to add it to my emulations.

I'll get a video of the LDL traffiic up at some point.  To me it's an improvement over what they had before with the "blade" LDL, which I could barely comprehend.  It's introduced new issues for Fios' Unintellistar, though.

As for a provider, I would say Beat The Traffic.  Pelmorex owns BTT, and The Weather Company has a sizeable stake in Pelmorex.

It appears that the new traffic provider is INRIX.

The Weather Channel Began Streaming INRIX's Traffic Data in Continuous Ticker
TWCJim's STAR Database
TWCJim (main YouTube channel)
EASJim (second YouTube channel for my EAS and NWR videos)
