Wow, I had no idea anything like this was even in development. Very cool!  :cool3:
This has been planned ever since TWC announced it would be in HD, and ihas been discussed either here and/or TWC Classics.

How would you (or I for that matter) know what's being discussed at TWCC?
I'm positive it's been discussed here.

How would you or I know that?
I know that it's been in many of the first news articles when TWC announced that it would be going HD last year. I'm sure they've been posted.

If your not a member searching won't turn anything up at TWCC, at least as long as the information is in the current TWC boards, where it theoretically should be.

Would it ever be possible to show local forecasts using the same way satellite companies present local channels?
Well, of course it could. Would they want to do this? No. That's a lot of precious space that could be taken up by other channels. Could they do something on a regional basis? Absolutely. I don't know if they would want to, though. That would be a great decision to make it a bit more local, but It will probably never, ever, happen.
They can do a weather scan HD national with a LoT8 for the top citys.

Not really. It's still something that we've never had on DTV, and I like the way it looks :D

There has been no LDL on the satellite local forecast for an hour now. Looks like we're getting close to this "actual local".

The LDL issue can't be related to the iTV app. It has nothing to do with an IntelliStar - all the data is provided through your specific cable box, located physically within your house.

But it's still occuring. So my receiver is causing this?

And the satellite lf is still gonna be the same tomorrow during the 8s? There will be no new "local forecast" :(

If DirecTV is too expensive for you, then Comcast isn't for you either. We're paying as high as $250 a month for digital cable and high speed internet service.
