They might as well make overnight have 20 songs.

Got a reply from Melissa M.. no wonder why Whisper to Me hasnt been playing...  :pinch:

Quote
Hi Zach,

The problem you note with “Whisper To Me”  is due to the programming clock change to full-screen locals playing only at :28 and :58 past every hour. “Whisper” is scheduled only in the :60 and :90 second Locals. Since we are now only doing 2-minute Locals during the afternoon, that song does not play. It may pop up during severe weather or hurricane coverage (when we activate :60 and 90 locals). However, our team will investigate moving that title to overnight.

We are actually playing two different segments of “Kiss of Life” in the morning and prime time playlists. Several parts of that song sound very similar to “Aperture”, but “Kiss of Life” is the only Ryan Farish title playing in Prime Time.

Thanks,
Wow, Zach, thanks for the update. How is Whisper to Me only supposed to play on 90 second locals, if they played on full 2 min locals during the playlist debut? Also if you haven't already Zach, tell Melissa that Aperture is playing on primetime instead of Kiss of Life, instead. They're using the different cut for the wrong song. You can use my two Aperture clips on YouTube as a comparsoin.

As always, please alert us if you do hear Whisper to Me and/or Kiss of Life. I'll be sure to spring my tuner into action..

Best
Morning - Jackiem Joyner - J Street/Chris Geith - Down By The Ocean
Daytime - S7ven Large   Euge Groove (Although I haven't heard it since the first day this list started)/Paul Taylor - Exotica
Primetime - Beach Street Music - Chillibillie/Sam Spence - Classic Battle
Overnight - Robert Wolf - Island of Dreams (So soothing  )/Matthew Shuman - Frosty Sunrise

Worst
Morning - Jackiem Joyner - I'm Waiting For You/ Beach Street Music - Campus Chic (Boring song) Also don't care much for the Ryan Farish and Daft Punk tunes playing here either.
Daytime - Same as above
Primetime - Gooding - I'm Not Listening
Overnight - Not sure, haven't heard them all yet.

I think I need to revise my list. (new songs in black bold)

I couldn't sleep as I've been thinking about a lot of things, so I listened to this entire playlist and ranked my top ten songs from it:

  • Whisper to Me - 7and5
  • Aperture - Ryan Farish
  • Breath In - 7and5
  • Villa by the Sea - Russ Freeman
  • I'm Waiting for You - Jackiem Joyner
  • Exotica - Paul Taylor
  • Down by the Ocean - Chris Geith
  • Never Look Back - 7and5
  • Distanza - Greg Minnick
  • Who Now Do You Love - Shaun Brock

Once again, I feel like my view of music is so different compared to everyone else.  I couldn't find a single song that I liked on the primetime and overnight lists, yet you all could.  Furthermore, I think this playlist is worse overall than the last one, but you all think the opposite.  In some ways, the beginning of my #1 song really describes how I feel about this matter and my life sometimes.  Am I really that weird when it comes to musical tastes?

just think in about 2 and 1/2 to 3 weeks a new playlist might start with the current Bi-Monthly early month rotation.

I do agree with your list but Kiss of Life isn't on primetime, I think you mean Aperture. They erroneously labeled Aperture as Kiss of Life on Primetime.

I don't know about you guys, but I am kinda surprised that October is coming to an end, and possibly this playlist, too. It doesn't seem like this playlist has lasted for almost 2 months. I still haven't familiarized myself with most of the songs since I'm away from home. I am not tired of this playlist either, for once.

I agree. I guess both TWC limiting LFs last month and our time away due to college are both to blame.
