Networks are so money-hungry these days that I wouldn't be surprised if that is permanent.

I can't believe there doing this for more ads. The 2 min flavours run for the :28 and :58 lfs. I don't care about the :18 and :48 lfs if they're shortened to a minute because they're shortened flavours anyways. The :38 and :08 lfs are still 2 minute though?

Yeah, I think that's going a little too far. At least make the :08/:38 LFs 1:30. You can't get a lot of weather data in one minute. And no more CC and LF every flavor? I sometimes find the narration in those screens useful while in a hurry.

I'm not in favour of this at all. They're shortening the lfs more and more..Before it used to be 2 minute on all local forecasts, then 1:30 at :18 and :48 lfs and now 1 min all flavours except the :28 and :58. National feed still same and boring.

For a few days back in September 2006, they tried making the :18 and :48 LFs only a minute long, but the idea was scrapped almost as soon as it started.

Well, the Lansing and E.L. Intellistar Units sure do try to distance themselves from each other. According to my clip of TWC from today, I see that my Intellistar here in Lansing starting acting strange as of the 9:38 AM EDT LF, and has been alternating the school day and outdoor activity forecast products all morning. I posted earlier that the E.L. Intellistar starting behaving strange (showing different flavors) as of the 11:08 AM EDT LF. I will post videos soon, as soon as I decide what to post.

While I am in support of this move-around, I do think that there should only be one flavor. I can see why maybe the Getaway Forecast product, for example, shows normally at :38 and :08, but I think there should only be a two minute flavor. These one minute and 90 second flavors just do not seem necessary to me.

Well, watching the 4:08 PM EDT LF, I notice that the wintry precip indicators are on the regional radar screen. That then cut to a frozen satellite image. I also see this LF is now 2 minutes.......

Does anyone know how the XL and other units are or if they are changing? I'm sure they also need to queue when the IS does as well.

Well, things are obviously all over the place and so screwy, so I am not sure there is any answer here.......
