New IntelliSTAR 2 Junior in Grand Coulee, WA:

TWC IntelliSTAR 2 Junior- Grand Coulee, WA- May 19, 2014- 2:48PM PDT

This unit replaced a WeatherSTAR 4000 (Omak) which I last saw over 7 years ago.

Dang, another legacy STAR bit the dust. Vala's 4000 from Litchfield, IL also got replaced with a IntelliStar 2 Jr. (or whatever TWC calls it).
http://www.taiganet.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3208&st=0&#entry38329
The same thing happened down in Hannibal, MO too (former XL location). I wonder if TWC officially stopped supporting the legacy STARs?
Classic TWC, Weatherscan, legacy WeatherSTARs, and classic Prevue/TV Guide fan.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've hearing just the production music on the LFs today. Does this mean the vocal music is gone?

I highly doubt that. If anything, maybe they're picking some new songs.

I thought I was the only one...I been hearing nothing but the two production music songs all day today. I hope it means vocals are gone

I can also confirm that I have only been hearing the two production songs on the LFs today.  My guess is that it's probably for severe weather coverage.  But they're not using the alert production theme, just the two others.

There was Severe Coverage on recently and they had Vocals on so i would think it may have to do something with the recent survey which ended earlier this month.

Yea because today is a spotty severe weather day. If they were in storm alert, they would've used the storm alert music. Plus they went to long form as normal. Also did you notice how the march list lasted about 3 months! They should of changed it between 5/5 - 5/9. This is interesting. I'll email one of the PR executives.

Was the survey even issued by TWC? Some people think the survey was just a rumor and that those videos were just someone wanting attention.

If TWC did in fact stop the vocals due to severe weather, then that tells me they're ashamed of them.

it was issued by TWC's The Front Panel so i wonder what the final results of the survey are!  :D

also i noticed this during one of the locals this morning, would you rather see this sidebar during the 8s?

Well, I'll be... I hope you all voted for instrumental/jazz, etc. Unfortunately, it won't let me participate in the survey at this time.

I think the sidebar would clash with the pretty background.  :P

I emailed Melissa and she told me she had no idea of the survey or the music changes on the LOT8s. It could just be a fluke but if most people voted for C (production music), then well there's your answer...

Interesting that the IS1 & IS2 LF have the patriotic theme background yet the National LF does not have that today. Unless they are waiting for Monday?
