Well, 24130 and 24131 have the same exact config so it isn't that much of a problem. Certainly better than me receiving 21865 instead of 21872, and who knows when that issue will be corrected... really starting to lose my patience on this

I wonder if Dish Network is getting the old DBS bug because I've only seen the current one like three times today.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

I know I'm late asking this, but when did they eliminate the 1 min. forecasts during Weekend Now and I'm assuming Day Planner too? :dunno:

They got rid of them starting the week of 9/28, IIRC.

Wow, the radar has been blinking this evening (or at least I have noticed it this evening). I assume since Mike is also reporting this issue that it is a national issue?

Yes, it's a national issue, which I believe is the reason why the IntelliStar has been out for several hours now, I hope it stays out all weekend there's nothing intereesting (weatherwise) happening here and it gives me a chance to record good songs w/o the narration running in the background. I haven't caught an IntelliStar outage since July so it's been a while.

Wait, so you're seeing satellite LFs and no LDL? The Intellistar is functioning fine for me. I would think HiRAD would be taken offline while this issue is ongoing, but TWC isn't smart enough to do that :P

Yes, that's exactly what's happening, it's weird because the LDL cues in and 1 second later it reverses and cues out.   I'm uploading some primetime clips I recorded while PME was on of what I'm talking about.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that this outage started at either 4:28pm or 4:58pm EDT (4:58pm I know for sure) and the LDL is still out at the moment.

What does the LF being out for some folks have to due with TWC taking HiRAD offline?

Of course, you look for my quotes attacking HiRAD and the LF...
Anyway, perhaps I should have been more clear. I added in that last sentence when I was referring to the radar glitching. Not sure why HiRAD is not taken offline while that issue is ongoing

But I'm asking you why do you think they would take HiRAD offline just because of a radar glitch??

I'm pretty sure since you advocate for the mistake known as HiRAD that you would know radar is a major part of the formula for HiRAD??

Just because the radar image that is shown on the STAR isn't correct or not functioning doesn't mean HIRAD wouldn't function. Ive always assumed HIRAD was generated back at TWC. The raw radar data from the nws would still be fine just there was an error in generating the precip graphics that are distributed to the STARs. Thats just how I have always thought of it. Plus I am quite confident if X condition/variable is missing then HIRAD wont show.

Martin is 100% correct. The radar we see on LOT8s has  nothing to do with HiRAD. HiRAD uses it's own radar and satellite system in part to generate it's observations, among several other factors.
