Where did you get 47% from? I don't know about you, but on my HDTV, it is nowhere near 47% of the screen.

My grandparents have TWC HD on DirecTV, however, they do not have an HDTV.  Therefore, TWC looks like crap, and the bars probably do take up 47% of the screen :P (maybe "Mayguy" is seeing TWC HD on a non-HD screen?)

By doing some math, I got 25% of the screen for the LDA w/o the LDL. Did 640÷853 (tuner aspects, not TV) and got .7502931, which rounds to 75%. Subtracted 75 from 100 and got my answer.

I hate it, especially since (I think) on weekends I notice it takes up MORE of my screen. Plus it's not helpful when you have a warning crawl ON TOP of the side bar so part of the conditions for your area are cut-off. I liked the blue side-bar better. It was more with their color scheme and NEVER took up anymore than the warning crawl.

Ummm......I'm confused......
1. This is a TWC HD LDA topic. Not SD. HD can't display warnings (yet).......
2. The sidebar is still blue.......
3. And there was NEVER a sidebar on SD.

The LDA has been frozen on Chicago since the first hour of Weather Center earlier this morning. The subtle animations on the LDL are working, but that's about it. The five-day forecast still is showing Friday as the first day.

It's now frozen on Memphis, which is helpful to me. But.......they are showing the Kansas City, MO radar with a "Memphis" label on it....

So the small LDA is/was screwed up, too? Did they fix it by the end of Weekend Now?

The big LDA got fixed at the start of 6 PM ET PM Edition. When the LDA first came on, it was still frozen on Chicago, then it advanced to Cincinnati (with Memphis listed as the next city due up), and the data was still from Friday. Then it jumped to Memphis with live data, and everything was fine from there.

Hey guys, Sorry for not getting back to you.   I threw away the paper that I did the math on.    We do have HD TV, and now I see that TWC has stopped that so far.

(PS, I didn't get any e-mail notice on replies?)
