Toledo probably has hotels, but then again, that's still pretty far west of LaGrange. BTW, when I saw the 4000, me and my dad were in a restaurant (can't think of the name) and one of the TVs was on TWC. It only seemed to use the LM flavor. (I just checked and it's about 2 hours on the highway from Toledo to LaGrange, so...)

Tucumcari, New Mexico had a WS4000; I discovered it 2 days ago.
Mind you, it's the most degraded STAR I've ever seen in my life and out of all the videos I've seen of degraded ones, you could hardly tell it was a 4000.

I have a crappy clip of it on a camera, but it'll be a while before I can post it because the computer I brought on my trip doesn't recognize the required card reader.

I also noticed how 'rusty' that Star 4000 is, compared to the other ones I watched. I haven't seen one like that in a while. The only other one that had such a problem was in Perry/Lecompton, KS, located near Topeka, back in 2006.

I would like to add one more city that has the WeatherStar 4000...Roanoke/Wadley/Wedowee, AL.  Communicomm uses that and it looks like they won't upgrade until they can't find parts anymore...

I'm wondering if there's any of these WeatherStar 4000 systems in use near Green Bay, Wisconsin. If there are, they would most likely be found in some small towns in northern Brown County, Shawano County, and southern Oconto County.

Here are some possible WeathereStar 4000 locations:
Pulaski, Wisconsin (They had had a Star Jr in 1998, when I lived there, it's possible that they upgraded to the 4000)
Oconto, Wisconsin (I lived here in 1994-1995 when they had a Star III, it's possible that they upgraded to a 4000 or XL.)
Gillett, Wisconsin (Had a Star III when I lived there in 1996-1998, it is possible they upgraded to the 4000 when the III was decommissioned in 2004, since their population is lower than 2,000)
Clintonville, Wisconsin (Formerly had a WeatherStar III, unsure if they upgraded to a 4000 or Jr.)
Bonduel, Wisconsin (I'm unsure about this one...)
Oconto Falls (When I lived here from 1994 to 1996, they had a WeatherStar 4000, it is pssible that they upgraded to an XL.)

Oconto Falls is currently listed in the XL list on Wikipedia, so yes, it does appear as though that STAR was upgraded from a 4000.

The Weatherstar 4000 is being decommissioned on March 3 along with the Weatherstar Junior! I'm so mad at the FCC for this!!! It's a sad day for legacy Weatherstar fans.

I just found out that the support.weather.com webpage is down. I wounder if they are planning on ending support of the 4000 and Junior? They could be updating the website, who knows.

The 4000 and Junior are not being decommissioned. It is just a rumor that someone started on TWC Classics. I can't believe I was stupid enough to think it was real and then tell everyone on TWC Classics and TWC Today!!!
