Nice circulation on it looking at satellite loops. If I didn't know any better I would say it's a tropical storm right now.

WHEE! I Hope it strengthens enough to bring us some interesting weather if it does effect SC. Don't know if they're associated with this, but there are some costal showers moving in from the SE on the SC coast.

Yeah, I've seen the track. I was being a little sarcastic/wishful in that post :P

 Shucks, I was hoping it would move across the southern Florida peninsula, cuz they need the rain on both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts.  :( We can't control it.

Looks like this is going to be another one of those storms that will drift away from the US...a "fish" storm as some would call it.

Yeah, unless the weather pattern drastically changes, this storm is likely gonna drift off to the northeast and not really affect anything. The water temps and upper-level conditions aren't really favorable for hurricane development, either.

This little system formed at the tail end of a departing upper-level trough and associated cold front.  The fact that it's close to the Bahamas makes me wonder if NHC was more aggressive in deciding whether to give it any classification.  However, Bret doesn't appear to be really healthy, and the only threat to land will be just high surf.

I know. I think it was b/c I renamed a page from the pacific earlier in the season and must have gotten a little confused. Thanks Zach, can count on you to catch my mistakes! lol
