Extended Forecast Issue
« on: October 31, 2008, 06:19:45 PM »
I'm setting a config for Hillsborough, and I get an error saying that the extended forecast area is unavailable.

Zone: FL051

Florida is picky. The NWS forecast office publishes data differently and as a result the emulator cant read the data. Just keep trying different areas until you get one that works.

I get this error when trying to set my extended forecast zone. "Data from NWS does not provide tabular Extended forecast data, try a close neighboring state."

So it's like that in Alabama?

I'm wondering if Stephen has this issue. <_<

For some odd reason, Orange County doesn't work for me.

lol, it also happens in my area so I set my 5-day to Las Vegas.  It's nice to see warm temperatures on the screen! :D

lol :P Im sorry about that. Perhaps in the future something can  be done about it but for now there is not enough time to put into fixing select locations.

I totally understand about the time thing.  Hopefully there will be something that presents itself to make the extended forecasts and conditions easily accessible.  Is there a way to grab the NWS RSS feeds by location (say...zip code)?  Maybe that would work?  *shrug*  Just throwing that out there.
