This is what one of the mets at Accuweather is saying......

http://www.accuweather.com/mt-news-blogs.asp?partner=accuweather&traveler=0&blog=Meteomadness&pgurl=/mtweb/content/Meteomadness/archives/2008/10/henrys_winter_outlook.asp

If this comes true the NE is gonna have one heck of a snowy winter this time around.

One word... AccuWeather.

I didn't say he would be right, you have to take it with a grain of salt.

My area has not had a real snow for over 5 years! Conditions have to be just right for it. I think we will see a harsher winter than normal. I hope that means a lot of snow for my area

Yeah, I want more snow! The last blizzard we had was probably 2003. We got a good amount of snow in February 2006, but NYC took the brunt of that storm.

It did snow a few days last year but it was too warm to stick.  I remember that 03 snow. It was the day after Christmas. We almost had a white christmas... almost :P

I was referring to the one in February 2003, not Christmas. I don't recall having snow Christmas time here in Philly that year.

The first half of the 2003/2004 winter season was relatively warm, having temperatures in the 60's for much of November when we typically see upper 40's/low 50's. Even in December, we had a few days where we hit the upper 50's.

The last time we had a major snowstorm in my neck of the woods was 6 years ago right after New Years, we picked up 6 inches and there was still snow in my backyard 2 weeks later! it was cold winter that year. We haven't had an icestorm in 3 years it was sleeting when I left school that Friday, we got close to 2 inches of ice that storm the worst so far this century.

We had an ice storm in March 2007 where two or three inches fell. It was really hard to shovel.

We usually get them every other winter. I don't want another one like the last one I almost busted by butt 10 times trying to come from the gas station with my mom. Somebody had to help us back up to our front porch because we were sliding so much on the ice.

We never get snow. We are lucky if we even get rain outside of monsoon season.
