Here's an update on the Yazoo City, MS tornado: The NWS in Jackson, MS did a preliminary damage survey, and they found that this tornado did cause EF4 damage. The estimated maximum winds were bumped up to 170 mph, and the maximum path width was estimated to be 1.75 miles at one point. More investigations will be done to determine if this information needs to be adjusted and if it was indeed a single long-track tornado that trekked 149 miles, which is an incredibly long distance for a tornado to travel while staying on the ground!
