Barack Obama wins re-election.
Mitt Romney concedes.
Marriage equality is made legal in Maine and Maryland.
The first openly gay Senator is elected as well.

Unless the Republican Party can realize that their ideology is becoming unpopular among a large portion of Americans and start appealing to the youth vote and the minorities, they are going to continue having trouble getting into the White House. It's disappointing - the Republican Party used to be an excellent party in the earlier years of this country.

The Republican Party definitely needs to become more appealing to younger people. The results in school-wide elections/mock-elections have always been Democratic at my schools. However, that may be in part due to me living in one of the more Democratic parts of Michigan.

They were going way too far to the right on their ideologies. Frankly it was scaring me because a lot of the ones who gets all the media attention were talking like were still in a universe of 1962 instead of 2012.

The markets were more in response to a growing economic crisis in Europe rather than Obama - although it certainly would have done better if business man Romney had won.  ;)

They both equally played a role in the market today in my opinion though I think things will rebound a bit tomorrow.

FINALLY, we have a call on Florida. Romney's Senior Adviser is conceding Florida to President Obama, making the final electoral vote 332 for Obama and 206 for Romney.

At this point, that's nothing but adding insult to injury.
