Thoughts of spring... and other poetry
« on: September 08, 2010, 12:06:58 AM »
春 (Haru)

The warm sun rises
Lights up the world and my soul
Spring has come again!

Birdsong fills the air
Flowers’ fragrances so sweet
Everything reborn

Smiles and happiness
An optimistic outlook
Spring has come again!

You weren't kidding that you were the poet around here.  It looks good to me.

Thank you!  I have some more nature/weather-themed poems.  Maybe I'll post one or two here or there...  :)

Clouds

Clouds

What shapes do I see in the clouds,
Forming amongst these airborne shrouds?
Covering the sky, floating past
Each one more unique than the last

Nature's rich imagination:
An expression of elation
Creativity unsurpassed
The sky: a canvas deep and vast

As if molding a lump of clay,
Nature takes some time out to play
The wind sets the clouds into place
As thick as stone, as light as lace

I listen to the raindrops
« Reply #6 on: September 10, 2010, 11:13:06 AM »
I listen to the raindrops
And the whispers through the trees
I feel the joy of sunshine
And the darkness speaks to me

The starshine sends its greetings
As the clouds go floating by
I'm glad to hear the thunder
And the singing of a stream

The birds, they sing a chorus
The air so bright and fragrant
Living in a care-free world
And I've just been invited

What is it that you're saying?
And what am I meant to know?
Please teach me how to listen
And show me where I should go

One autumn night
« Reply #7 on: September 10, 2010, 11:13:27 AM »
One autumn night

One lonely night
I'm walking down the street
Alone, as usual
But then I stop

Through fog and haze
I think there's someone here
I run over to see
Just emptiness

Empty city
Leaves blowing in the breeze
The whole world is sleeping
Except for me

Turning the block
Darkness pierces my soul
Birds sing in the distance
And fly away

A cold wind blows
The rain begins to fall
Puddles in the sidewalk
I just walk on

One autumn night
Romantic, for lovers
And I'll walk forever
Just to find you

If you have a bunch of poems, maybe you should devote one thread to them rather than making many topics for each one.

I'll keep that in mind.  But don't worry... I won't make posting them here a regular thing.  Actually, after what I've already posted, I'm probably done.  :)

Patrick is right. I enjoyed your poems very much but please try to keep topics to a minimum. Thanks ;) I merged the topics for now. I hope you don't mind too much. If you can think of a good title to let folks know you can replace the one I made up real quick in your original post.

Looks good to me!  Actually, if I had thought of it, I would have put everything in the same topic, too.  Thanks!

because then you ask to lend.

Foresight the need of change,
because you might be in the red range.

From your first credit card and check,
well then what the heck?

Is time money?
It is never meant to be funny.
