Apple: Desktop or Laptop?

I don't want to get a MacBook, because it just isn't powerful enough. I would be getting the MBP if i got the notebook. I'm just extremely worried about it getting wrecked or something. Maybe I will have my parents buy the MBP and buy the iMac for myself or something... I don't know.

I cannot make up my mind for the life of me.

Heh if they had something like that, it would be awesome. Kinda like the Macintosh Portable they had ages ago...

K, i think what i'm going to do... I'm going to get the MacBook Pro, but also get a keyboard, mouse, and Cinema display, build a homemade dock, and use it as a desktop, except when i need mobility.
