If you buy from apple.com, you're buying directly from the manufacturer.

Oh, ok. When the term "Apple Store" was mentioned, I thought it was only referring to the actual brick and mortar stores.

A Mac Pro would be going way overboard, unless you're planning to do A LOT with it.

True. If i were to go desktop, an iMac would be more suitable. Just having a really hard time deciding which one to go with. They both have their pro's and con's.
