Can anybody explain to me how Romney got SC when Obama is in the lead there? :dunno:

Exit polls show a clear majority for Romney.

NBC calls Arkansas for Romney. Romney 88, Obama 64.

Ah, ok thanks for explaining.

I noticed on ABC they went ahead and gave Obama NJ bringing him up to 78.

Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, and Mississippi go to Mitt Romney. Obama wins Michigan, New York, and New Mexico. Obama also wins New Jersey.

Current count is 123 Obama, 152 Romney.

Michigan was a hopeful for Romney - not so.

FLORIDA is very very close and Obama holds a slim margin. If Obama wins Florida, then the election will practically be over for Mitt Romney. This is very, very surprising.

Obama has Pennsylvania after being too early to call for about an hour.

NOTE: Most of the Swing states still too close to call there are still VERY long lines of voters well after closing. Colorado running out of ballots and is rushing to get more.

He's got a hold for now on Hillsborough County and a strong hold in Miami-Dade County and Orange County for the popular vote.

Big big call - Scott Brown has been toppled from the Massachusetts Senate seat.

EDIT: In Indiana, Mourdock's comments about rape have come back to haunt him. The Democrat will take the Senate seat for Indiana.

I figured Warren would defeat Brown and that Murdock would be defeated because of those rape comments.

Also Obama has won Minnesota.

Utah now goes to Mitt Romney. Iowa is too early to call. Nevada is too early to call. Romney wins Montana. Race is tied, 162 for Obama and Romney.

Tammy Baldwin (D) made history tonight in Wisconsin becoming the first openly gay woman to serve in the Senate. She defeated Tommy Thompson (R) in the Senate race there.

EDIT: California, Washington, Hawaii, all go to Obama. Romney wins Idaho and North Carolina. Also Oregon is too early to call, but Obama is leading there.

Electoral Count at 11pm ET
Obama - 243
Romney - 203
