We can't even guarantee that he'll get an on-air spot that day; someone would have to take off for that to happen.
I'll take off. ;) :P

I should be able to capture the opening of WWC, too.

Here's another article on the matter. This ones from the Hollywood Reporter. This is the first article (that I've seen) which specifically states that TWC will replace FE with other environmental programming.

According to the article, it looks like General Electric is the blame for this.

If you want the steaming pile of bullshit version of the story...I present Rush Limbaugh's commentary on the situation.

LOL, I find it funny, Steve, that you had to enlighten the folks at TWCC as to what's going on with the layoffs.  :rofl2:

You should've kept 'em in the dark.  :P

At least I tried to be as vague as possible about it. I'm just throwing it out there to keep them from getting their hopes up; they don't deserve that.

You know, the info is pretty widely available now. If they don't know, then they DO deserve that. Matt was so adamant about getting back into current TWC-enough so to royally screw me in the process of doing so. So I say what goes around comes around. And if he's gonna do something, he ought to do it right, or not at all.

Further, I'm also a bit perplexed as to why you withheld on where the word came from.

I figured you would be upset if I posted it definitively rather than as rumor, so I chose to post it as rumor. That's all.

If this is indeed the last day, Cheryl got time on Weekend Outlook with Mark, and Jorma is at O'Hare Int'l for return travel today.

Geeze, now it's Eboni Deon again on Weekend Now; they just won't give Dave a break, I swear.

i seriously dont get this whole lay off thing, especially since the personalities of the said OCM's seem unaffected. i thought the rule of thumb to this whole aquisition thing was that TWC would be a seperate entity and they would basically run themselves. other than the random "green week" NBC's affiliation towards TWC seems minimal.
my 2 cents.

btw, dave seems to be almost everyone's favorite ocm, why would people dismiss him, hes good for raitings, my friend.

Speaking of the radio division, TWC had been the provider for WGN Radio in Chicago, but while I was traveling today, I heard Jim Ramsey from WGN-TV giving the forecast instead. I'm assuming TWC has pulled out of WGN Radio...

...so is the whole TWC Radio division pretty much gone?
