Don't mind me, I need to let off some steam, but in a respectful way here...
What is NBC kidding me? They let Dave Schwartz go? Thanks a lot, NBC!
Who's next? Jim Cantore? Stephanie Abrams? Mike Bettes? Hell, why don't they get rid of Paul Goodloe, Sharon Resultan, Rich Johnson, Heather Tesch, Jeff Morrow, Mike Seidel and Jen Carfagno while they're at it? Maybe they'll give Alexandra Steele a nice Christmas present with a pink slip since she's pregnant?
How about destroy the identity of The Weather Channel as we know it? This is beyond absurdity they got rid of Dave Schwartz. I'm completely disgusted. He was one of the few nowadays that if he was on, I'd watch The Weather Channel continuously. His personality and presentation of the weather on the network made it quite pleasant and fun to watch. Jim Cantore, same thing.
But to start stripping away the very personalities The Weather Channel viewers can identify with is beyond ridiculous in description. Good friggin' luck with people tuning in if this trend takes off.
Oh and I don't care how much money each of these well-known OCMs were making. They are what helped bring in viewers. I know we're in tough economic times, but get rid of the people that had less visible and vital roles with the network.
And by the way, I'm sick of this Green Week crap. It's no surprise TWC is doing this now that NBC owns the damn channel now.
